My font mood board
My font mood board shows various fonts that I thought may look good for the masthead on my magazine. I accessed my fonts off a website, www.dafont.com, which I thought had a good variety to choose from. I thought this would be more creative than using a basic font such as Arial or New Times Roman which I do not feel would be adequate for my magazine. My target audience are thought to be creative, individual people, so I thought I could reflect this through the fonts used. I wanted to go for an ‘easy reading’ font that would be simplistic and stylish, yet fun and outgoing. I wanted to make sure all the fonts I chose were clear and bold so as they would instantly attract the reader’s eye, be memorable and recognisable. I found that as my music magazine is all about lifestyle and appearance, my readers must like my masthead font, else it gives a bad impression for the rest of the magazine. My music genre is going to be fairly broad and alternative, so I wanted to font to stay quite simple, so as not to imply any certain genre.
